Derby!

Last weekend Rated PG Roller Girls played the Grande Prairie Rage 'n Fyre. I was pretty ill and couldn't make the bout and was really sad because we had been working together for weeks and it felt really great to be working so hard with a group of women (and men) who I just love to bits (Cruely included). We've been talking a lot lately about doing some kind of training package or sessions, etc. on derby governance. Not necessarily for "brand new leagues" (as excellent resources exist out there for that) but a resource for leagues that may be one or two years old that covers things that may have been missed in the initial recruitment stages (conflict resolution, policy, paper work, strategic planning, charity/business status, money-making, partnership development, grant writing, etc). Add it to our list of things to do!
